Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Account Executive to manage and grow a significant recurring-revenue territory in the Houston Texas market.
This role combines account management consultative sales customer retention and new business development with responsibility for territory accounts generating up to $200K in annual revenue.

The Regional Account Executive will work closely with Account Specialists and Business Development Representatives to support existing customers onboard new accounts and identify opportunities for organic growth. This position will also independently sell and implement mid-sized accounts in the $100K$200K range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated oversight and account management for a significant revenue territory ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for organic revenue growth.
  • Independently sell to and implement mid-sized accounts in the $100K$200K range.
  • Partner with Business Development Representatives to support new account closures and warm prospect handoffs.
  • Work closely with dedicated Account Specialists to ensure account accuracy appropriate service levels customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Meet annual sales revenue and territory growth goals through new customer acquisition and organic growth.
  • Manage the customer base with a focus on profitability pricing product assortment inventory management and established service-level guidelines.
  • Evaluate existing customer programs and recommend more efficient solutions when appropriate.
  • Conduct agenda-driven meetings with customers and prospects both in person and virtually.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge and effectively communicate technical information to customers.
  • Follow up on leads generated through trade shows industry events vendors customer referrals market research and other sources.
  • Coordinate new customer implementations with strong communication both internally and with customers.
  • Participate in customer negotiations and contract renewals as needed.
  • Prepare territory sales forecasts territory plans and revenue projections.
  • Maintain accurate prospecting opportunity pipeline and forecasting activity within Salesforce CRM.
  • Travel for customer and prospect meetings trade shows sales meetings training and other business-related events.
  • Consistently work toward meeting and exceeding annual performance goals.
Qualifications
  • 4 years of consultative selling and/or account management experience preferably within a consultative sales environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results.
  • Strong customer relationship and account-management skills.
  • Ability to understand and effectively explain information of a technical nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to quickly build effective relationships.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office; previous CRM experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% with heavier travel during trade show and event seasons.
  • Current valid drivers license required.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid/remote position based in the greater Houston Texas area requiring a minimum of one day per week onsite and four days per week remote. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the Houston-area location.

Approximately 30% travel is required for customer and prospect meetings trade shows sales meetings training events and other business-related activities.
