Refrigeration Instructor (Evening)

JEVS Human Services has an exciting opportunity to join the team at ourOrleans Technical College as a RefrigerationInstructor. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching students through hands-on projects and theory in safety math and other basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction as specified in the curriculum in the basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating

• Supervise students in hands-on trades tasks

• Provide testing of students knowledge of theory

• Prepare curricula materials

• Utilize varying delivery methods and media to keep students engaged with the lesson for the full class day.

• Maintain student attendance and grade rosters

This position is part-time 2 evenings per week 5:30pm-10:15pm.

Part-time instructor pay rate is $32.50.

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience diagnosing maintaining and repairing residential and commercial systems; experience working with heat pumps gas and oil-fired furnaces ductwork radiant heat etc.
• Must have EPA certification
• Knowledge of electrical theory and heating theory is a must
• Must have experience soldering and brazing

The base pay for this position is $32.50 Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
