Referral Clerk

QuarterLine (QL) a Planned Systems International (PSI) company is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Referral Management Center Specialist to support our healthcare team at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). The ideal candidate will provide professional customer service while assisting patients and staff with referral and appointment coordination.

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral-related questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments according to MTF guidelines.
• Process routine urgent and emergent referrals within establishedtimeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when services are not available at the MTF.
• Maintainaccuratereferral documentation in MHS GENESIS and other required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures appointments and expected timelines.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service whilemaintainingpatient confidentiality.

• US Citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• One (1) year of administrative experience in a medical office clinic or healthcare setting. Referral management medical scheduling patient administration or insurance verification preferred.
• Demonstrated computerproficiencyand keyboarding sufficient to sustain electronic health record workflow.
• Ability to read write speak and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain andmaintaina favorable background investigation a Common Access Card and MTF-specific badge and system access.
• Current Basic Life Support certification(AHA or Red Cross)where required by the supported MTF plus HIPAA Privacy Act information assurance and MTF-directed initial and annual training.

• Must pass TB Test.
• Subject to a background/security investigation.
