Job Summary

Must occasionally be willing and able to work flexible hours/days including evenings and weekends reflective of the dynamic schedule of SummaryThe Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist performs a wide range of human resources activities requiring a high level of confidentiality. This roles primary responsibilities include talent recruitment acquisition and onboarding applying Hammer & NERs recruitment and staffing strategies to source attract and engage an effective diverse and committed workforce for the organization. All employees are expected to center model and champion Hammer & NERs core values: Person-Centered Relational Opportunistic and Stewardship in order to provide people with intellectual and other disabilities the opportunity to live life to its Duties and ResponsibilitiesTalent Recruitment and Acquisition Apply Hammer & NERs recruitment and staffing strategies to attract retain and engage an effective and committed workforce for Hammer & NER ensuring processes comply with legal diversity equity and Inclusion (DEI) by promoting and following hiring processes for recruiting candidates who are mixed across lines of proofread and edit job descriptions in preparation for and maintain external job postings and advertisements. Track applications in Hammer & NERs HRIS recruitment applications and review applicants with hiring managers to match experience with position-related requirements and essential established tools for deterring unconscious bias in recruitment and schedule interviews with behavioral-based interview questions with consistent formatting across all and conduct interviews with candidates via Teams and final candidates with the hiring manager and provide guidance on making the final hiring offer calls complete background checks write offer letters; communicate important onboarding information to the new hire. Ensure compliance with the Minnesota Wage Theft Prevention Act. Maintain knowledge of local state and federal employment laws and new hires through Hammer & NERs HRIS and trainings new employee onboarding and orientation new hires upcoming start dates and provide hiring managers with a checklist of tasks to complete before the first new hires through Hammer & NERs HRIS and trainings 30-Day Check-ins with new hires after their first month of recruitment reports from HRIS system to provide routine reports to board of directors and other key and compile human resources data into reports and presentations as timely completion of background checks testing employment verifications and information electronic employee personnel file data integrity; scan documentation as needed. Serve as the primary backup for the Human Resources Knowledge and Qualifications Intermediate recruitment and onboarding experience required working for a mid-sized organization. Formal informal and cross-disciplinary experiences will be building and executing proactive sourcing strategies for hard to fill industry-specific and commitment to sourcing and recruiting candidates mixed across lines of use of media platforms (internet job sites social media etc.) to successfully recruit and source candidates. Knowledge of and demonstrated use of HRIS systems and/or Applicant Tracking Systems. Knowledge of employment law regarding employee recruitment policies procedures and establishing trust and maintaining effective relationships with internal hiring to manage multiple priorities to ensure work is completed in a timely and productive experience communicating effectively and persuasively both verbally and in writing on an interpersonal and group exercising professional discretion and maintaining confidentiality regarding all human resources related demonstrate the ability to work diplomatically with a wide variety of people possess public speaking ability strong organizational skills and complete tasks with a high attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word Excel PowerPoint) and Google ability and commitment to working with individuals and teams that are mixed across lines of difference such as race gender-identity sexual orientation religion ability age class and immigrant be willing and able to work flexible hours/days including occasional evenings and weekends reflective of the dynamic schedule of the company.
