Recreation Therapist

• Provide one-on-one home and community Recreation Therapy to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities physical disabilities and behavioral/mental health diagnoses
• Create tailored goals to meet the needs of individual clients
• Document on each session
• Communicate with other team members and service providers
• Turn in timely documentation including weekly invoicing progress notes and related paperwork

• Must be able to travel to current or prospective clients homes
• Must be able and willing to transport client(s) during client visits
• Must have reliable transportation a valid drivers license and agency-required auto liability insurance (100k/300k Bodily Injury)
• Must be able to communicate with health care professionals clients families and the general public through verbal and written communication
• Must have access to a private personal laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance
• Track SMART goals and progress through weekly documentation using Microsoft Word Excel and Adobe Reader
• Implement patient care plans through home and community goal-related activities
• Able to work independently manage ones own time and the time of client(s)

• Minimum of Bachelors Level Degree required in one of the following: Therapeutic Recreation Recreation Administration with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation Leisure Studies with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation and/or related degree to Therapeutic Recreation
• CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only
• CTRS or TRS/TXC certified
• Social Security Card
• Drivers License
• Auto Insurance (with 100/300/100 coverage minimum)
• Professional Liability Insurance (with $1 million/$3 million coverage limit)
