Job Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott Community Center.
This is a regular full-time position (35-40 hours per week)
Assists in the planning organizing development coordinating and administration of a comprehensive Community Center activities and programs to include core program areas and activities IAW annual program requirements for DoD military civilians and dependents populations. Assist with all base wide special events. Plans and coordinates the details for recurring activities/events as to make maximum use of available resources. Ensures the equipment stock supports the interests and needs of the population served. Assists in the upkeep and preparation of Community Center facility. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. In order to qualify you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of the basic principles procedures and practices of operating a comprehensive community recreation program required. Must have knowledge of safety and security regulations practices and procedures relating to various recreation activities. Must have skills in preparing forms schedules and reports related to the obligation and expenditure of funds. Must have ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Knowledge of office automation software (PowerPoint Word and Excel) is required.
