Office Location: 224 West Hill Street Suite 410 Chicago IL ; required in-office/in-community minimum of 3 days per week (hybrid work policy subject to change).

Who We Are Looking For:
Reporting to the Recovery Manager the Recovery Support Supervisor for the Engagement & Support program provides day-to-day leadership coaching and oversight to Recovery Support Associates delivering peer support services in the community and in Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRF)/Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) throughout the Chicagoland area. This role supports the implementation of recovery-oriented person-centered services that help Williams/Colbert Consent Decree Class Members explore opportunities for community living build meaningful connections and identify goals that align with their own values and aspirations. The ideal candidate is committed to peer support values reflective supervision and strengths-based practice. They are skilled at supporting staff development monitoring program quality and supporting collaborative relationships with community partners facilities and stakeholders.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support a team of Recovery Support Associates providing coaching guidance and performance oversight.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision focused on peer support practice participant engagement documentation and professional development.
- Promote fidelity to peer support values including mutuality self-determination strengths-based practice and recovery-oriented care.
- Monitor service delivery documentation caseload activity and staff workload to ensure services are delivered in accordance with program expectations and quality standards.
- Assign Class Members delegate work responsibilities and oversee team schedules and coverage to support equitable workload distribution and service continuity.
- Provide ongoing consultation coaching and problem-solving support to staff regarding participant engagement service planning and barriers to service delivery.
- Review participant progress and service needs providing recommendations to the Recovery Manager regarding service modifications case transfers and discharge planning.
- Involved in performance management of Recovery Support Associates and collaborates with the Recovery Manager to address performance concerns when needed.
- Support staff onboarding training mentoring and ongoing development.
Program Operations & Quality Assurance
- Conduct audits of participant records service documentation and program data systems to ensure compliance and quality service delivery.
- Partner with program leadership Integration and Program Evaluation to review participant engagement service delivery and staff performance data to support quality services and program goals.
- Support data collection reporting quality improvement efforts and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular visits to assigned facilities and community settings to support staff monitor service delivery and maintain partner relationships.
- Assist with monitoring program expenses and resource utilization in accordance with budget expectations.
Participant Engagement & Recovery Support
- Support staff in using motivational engagement and peer support strategies with individuals who may be hesitant or ambivalent about community living.
- Provide consultation on complex participant situations engagement barriers and community integration planning.
- Provide direct peer support services to support participant needs and program operations.
- Support staff in facilitating community exploration wellness activities and access to recovery-oriented resources and opportunities.
- Facilitate peer support groups training and community activities including occasional evening or non-traditional hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of program operations and organizational goals.
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of peer support principles recovery-oriented practice strengths-based engagement trauma-informed care and mental health recovery.
- Experience supporting coaching or mentoring staff in behavioral health including peer support social services or community-based settings.
- Ability to provide guidance feedback and accountability while fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively engage participants staff and community partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving individuals living with mental health challenges and supporting self-determination recovery and community inclusion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor staff activities meet deadlines and ensure completion of program requirements.
- Ability to review documentation monitor service delivery and support compliance with program and grant requirements.
- Familiarity with community resources mental health service systems and peer support networks throughout Chicagoland.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to travel throughout the Chicagoland area to support staff participants and community partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in social work counseling psychology or a related field OR A Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).
- Obtaining CRSS or CPRS is expected within 18 months of employment at NAMI.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work mental health services or peer support team management.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferably in a behavioral health or community-based setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $57000 - $60000 per year
