Location: Hybrid in Boston Massachusetts. Our team works together in a beautiful downtown Boston office 3 days per week with flexibility outside of those in-office days.

Note: Candidates must have 3 years of directly relevant experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions and prior law firm experience. Sponsor-side or equity-side transactional experience is strongly preferred over a primarily lender-side background. BigLaw or strong regional law firm experience is preferred. Relevant in-house candidates are welcome if they also have meaningful prior law firm experience.

Job Description

  • Lead and support complex commercial real estate acquisitions investments dispositions developments financings and other sophisticated transactions.
  • Draft review and negotiate transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements joint venture agreements investment documents leases ground leases and related agreements.
  • Advise sponsors investors developers and institutional clients on transaction structures and business considerations.
  • Manage due diligence transaction timelines negotiations and closings from start to finish.
  • Work directly with clients and counterparties while developing practical commercially focused solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues on sophisticated transactions involving properties and investments across multiple markets.
  • Take increasing ownership of matters while helping maintain exceptional client service and work quality.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Meaningful experience with complex commercial real estate acquisitions investments development or similar transactions.
  • Prior experience practicing within a law firm environment.
  • BigLaw or strong regional law firm experience preferred.
  • Sponsor-side or equity-side real estate experience strongly preferred.
  • Joint venture drafting and negotiation experience is highly preferred.
  • Relevant in-house experience is welcome when combined with prior law firm experience.
  • J.D. and active bar membership in good standing.
  • Strong drafting negotiation communication and transaction-management skills.
