Raw Fruit Account Manager (Yakima to Tri-Cities, WA)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is considered remote however the individual must live in the Yakima or Tri-Cities WA Raw Fruit Account Manager FP & GS is The Account Manager FP&GS is responsible for procuring fruit from growers and packers to support Tree Tops production needs and sourcing strategies. The position builds solid relationships with growers packers and suppliers while holding them responsible for commitments and expectations. This role works closely with Logistics and Production Planning to coordinate fruit supply movement and plant needs. The Raw Fruit Account Manager is expected to work independently take initiative identify and address issues proactively and drive issues through resolution.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Raw Fruit Procurement Manager. The position works closely with the logistics group plants administration and scale house personnel production planning sales growers and packers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• General understanding of the fruit industry packhouse procedures and fruit handling practices.
• Principles and practices of inventory management.
• Broad knowledge of the agricultural business and the cycles/seasons that affect the market.
• Principles and practices of supply chain related to perishable food items.
• Pertinent Federal State and local laws codes and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and packers.
• Take initiative and independently drive priorities through completion.
• Hold suppliers responsible while maintaining productive business relationships.
• Communicate effectively and directly in difficult or high-pressure situations
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information.

• Effectively resolve conflicts and negotiate.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Identify research and analyze problems identify alternative solutions and project consequences of proposed actions.

EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATION/LICENSES AND TRAINING:

• A BA/BS degree in agriculture horticulture business or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement supply chain or operations preferably in an agricultural food manufacturing or business environment.
• Drivers license from state of residency is required.
• Must meet Tree Tops driving insurance requirements.
• Washington produce buyers license is preferred. For California produce buyers license is required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of SQF and GAP certification is preferred.

Pay Information

Salary Range: $70828 to $106292

Target Starting Range: $72000 to $85000 annually

This range reflects the full pay scale for all roles within this positions grade. The actual salary offer will consider various factors such as experience and if applicable location.
