Ramp Supervisor

RAMP SUPERVISOR Job Description

• Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed

• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft airport terminals air cargo facilities and other aircraft

• Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations

• Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees

• Some responsibilities may include interviewing hiring and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policy

• Complete shift reports and sign timecards

• Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms

• Prepare disciplinary incident and or termination reports

• Assist in the baggage handling area

• Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed

• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions hazardous material identification labels aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing tags

• Operate motorized equipment
