Rainbow Club Faculty Advisor Lawrence School (Stipend) 2026-2027 School Year

Rainbow Clubsare intended to serve as safe spaces for students to explore identity and build community and belonging. It is managed by a teacher facilitators that provide an inclusive place for students to meet and:

• Support one another and gain greater insights on their personal experiences
• Explore personal identity/expression
• Work to end harassment and discrimination

Three typical functions of aRainbow Club include providing support building community and taking action to create change within the school. Examples of topics that may be discussed include projects aimed at creating a safe welcoming and accepting school environment for all students. We strive to create a safe space for community building and 4-8

Adult facilitators are expected to:

• FacilitateRainbow Clubmeetings 1-2xmonthly
• Collaboratively work with colleagues and school leadership to organize professional development opportunities for faculty on how to support student diversity better
• Use out of school time to thoughtfully plan Rainbow Clubstudent meetings activities and draft communications for the school community educators and families
