  • Shift / Schedule: 2 12-Hour Nights 19:0007:00 (Saturday & Sunday); 1 12-Hour Mids 15:0003:00 (Monday) Weekend Schedule: Saturday Sunday & Monday. *NO WEEKEND RTO*

Job Summary

This is a CT Tech position in the emergency department on a Siemens scanner handling routine ED patients as well as Code Stroke and some trauma patients. The unit is *VERY FAST PACED*. On first shift there are typically 45 techs; second shift (after 5 PM) there are typically 23 techs; third shift has 1 tech; weekends have 2 techs. The typical caseload for one tech in an 8-hour shift is anywhere from 812 patients. Daily caseload across 4 rooms is 150200 scans. Patient population includes Infants Pediatrics Adolescents Adults and Geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT imaging procedures including Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal Brain Perfusion CTAs and Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Operate Siemens scanner (S3000 and Sequoia models); Siemens FORCE Scanner use is a MUST
  • Provide imaging services to Inpatient ER and Adult ICU patients including some Trauma cases
  • Support Code Stroke and emergency department patient workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilize EPIC and Visage unit systems for documentation and image management
  • Maintain a daily caseload of 150200 scans across 4 rooms
  • Work the weekend schedule: Saturday Sunday & Monday *NO WEEKEND RTO*
Required Skills
  • Siemens FORCE Scanner proficiency is mandatory candidates without Siemens experience will not be considered
  • Inpatient imaging experience
  • ER imaging experience
  • Adult ICU imaging experience
  • Trauma imaging experience (some)
  • CT procedure experience: Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal Brain Perfusion CTAs Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Proficiency with EPIC and Visage systems

Education Requirements
  • ARRT(R)(CT) certification required
  • BLS certification required
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
  • Unit will accept first-time travelers
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Emergency department setting *VERY FAST PACED*
  • Weekend schedule required: Saturday Sunday & Monday
  • No Call Requirement
  • No Float Requirement
  • Scrubs: Not provided Royal Blue required
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite; any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR
Important Notes
  • Start Date Flexibility: The expected start date is based on the facilitys schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday Thursday or Friday of the first week and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
  • The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
  • Interview Requirement: The hiring manager WILL NOT extend an offer without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first. Please be prepared to provide interview availability within 72 hours of submission.
  • RTO Policy: RTO after booking is not permitted and cannot be worked out onsite. Call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
