Job Summary
Founded in 1940 Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center is a 191-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in Santa Maria California. Serving over 250000 patients annually the hospital offers a full complement of services including Level II Trauma Center Level III NICU cancer care orthopedics and stroke care. As our Radiologic Assistant you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations including X-rays ultrasound diagnostic fluoroscopy CT/CAT scans and MRIs while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel you must deeply understand diagnostic imagings critical importance encompassing expertise in workflow patient positioning and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Prepares room for procedure ensures all necessary supplies are available. Proper se-up of patient on table.
- Coordinates patient/ customer needs with the appropriate hospital personnel for seamless flow.
- Compliance with Policy and Procedures: Complies with safety infection control CHW Integrity Program and other organizational policies. (90 day evals - department specific orientation checklists completed; annual evals - annual competency checklists completed) Complies with the organizations dress code. Arrives at work on time as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy. Attends work consistently as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy.
- Greets and effectively communicates with patients and staff.
- Other Staff Responsibilities: Actively supports the organizations mission philosophy and strategic plan. Demonstrates good time management and priority setting.
- Accurately completes screening for Invasive procedures & contrast injections prior to exam
- Previous experience in a medical setting
- Medical terminology
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 Days
Preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant CA or
- Emergency Medical Technician CA
