Teleradiology Read From Anywhere in the U.S.
The Opportunity
A full-time teleradiology opportunity reading for a well-established Veterans healthcare system in Providence Rhode Island performed 100% remotely from anywhere in the United States. Two diagnostic radiologists are needed to cover a MondayFriday daytime window and the schedule is genuinely flexible: coverage can be split into staggered eight-hour blocks built as four ten-hour days or arranged as full-window days balanced by days off. Physicians who would rather read on site in Providence are welcome to do so but on-site work is entirely optional.

Teleradiologist REQUIREMENTS
Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday remote. Daytime coverage between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern with the specific daily block set by mutual agreement staggered eight-hour shifts four ten-hour days or a rotation of full-window days with days off are all workable. Optional on-call maximum one week per month.

- Philips Vue PACS; long-term stable predictable volume rather than high-burn commercial teleradiology pace.

Teleradiologist RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to)
- Provide diagnostic radiology interpretations of x-ray CT MRI ultrasound fluoroscopy nuclear medicine and DEXA studies.
- Review imaging requests for appropriateness and provide protocols and oversight to radiology technologists.
- Protocol examinations and prescribe contrast agents medications and radiation doses consistent with ACR practice parameters.
- Meet turnaround standards: STAT within one hour ASAP within eight hours and routine within 48 hours.
- Communicate critical urgent and unexpected findings to ordering providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical consultations as scheduled.
- Coordinate with staff radiologists technologists and clinical staff on workflow and protocol questions.
- Optional: participate in on-call coverage (phone consultation and remote protocol guidance) a maximum of one week per month.
Teleradiologist REQUIREMENTS
- M.D. or D.O. from an LCME- or AOA-accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology. Board Eligible means within five years of residency completion without a failed board examination.
- Interpretation of x-ray plus CT and/or MRI in at least one adult subspecialty area: Body Neuroradiology or Musculoskeletal.
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state territory commonwealth or the District of Columbia.
