Who We Are:Ourstory began in 1966 when Drs. Robert Taylor Harris Knudson and James Lum joined together to form Taylor Knudson & Lum a radiology and radiation oncology practice. The practice expanded in 1969 with the additions of Dr. Francis Esposito followed by Drs. Richard Ellis and Paul Bandt in 1971. Position Summary:

Provides healthcare services applying x-ray energy toassistin the diagnosis or treatment of patients using radio/fluoroscopic procedures. Performs medical imaging techniques and related procedures todemonstrateanatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrates competency andproficiency following established protocols in the performance of all radiographic examinations and equipment in their assigned work area. Proper positioning ofthe patientand equipment.Selectionof theappropriate imagereceptor and radiographic techniques.Digital information systemsutilizedin the performance of assigned work Radiology Information System (RIS)andSynapse.

  • Identifieseach patient and reviews each patients requisition for consistencies to concur with the examination ordered.Appliesappropriate patientcare and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure.Reviews patient chart for exam referral/orders with attention to any special instructions within the exam notes appointmentnotesor referral request.Assesses the patients condition; assures patient safety through proper restraining and support devices.

  • Records the patients history including information about priors as required byestablishedpolicies and procedures and the American College of Radiology (ACR).Performs and maintains all quality assurance/control records required by ACR the State Department of Health Services and any other credentialing organizations as required by law.Verifies all procedures performed match the procedures listed in the RIS and are listed and coded properly.

The hourly range for this position is$25.00-$40.00.
