Job Summary

RadiologicTechnologist

Position Summary:

Under general supervision operates x-ray equipment in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services.

Responsibilities:


  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures within the Radiology field

  • May prepare and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate to the nature of the procedure being carried out

  • Works under immediate supervision

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

  • Reports to Imaging Supervisor

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within the field

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned


Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:


  • Current 2nd year student in an accredited school of radiography or a new graduate of Radiologic Technology Program

  • Must successfully graduate from an accredited school and complete the A.R.R.T. registry within 12 months from the date of hire


Working Conditions:


  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs

  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position

  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job

  • Must be able to stoop crouch or bend

  • Must be able to push pull or transport heavy equipment

  • Exposure to needles blood and body fluids etc.
