Modality Technical Specialist

Schedule: Day Shift; M-F (9:00am - 5:30pm)

Rotation: Individual will be scheduled as a working technologist 4 days of the week and provided 8 hours of office time.

Location: Loyola Medical Center & support Satellites as needed

About the Job

In this role the Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist in collaboration with the Radiology Leadership including Physician Leader(s) functions as the technical subject matter expert. This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for the region. The Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist acts as the chief educator/super trainer for all staff Clinical Instructor Scanner Accreditations oversees all Safety protocols and all research projects directs quality for the modality and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor physicians & staff. In addition this person performs technical procedures applying modality specific techniques that require independent judgement ingenuity and initiative to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information.

What youll need

  • Associate degree; or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
  • Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology; Radiology Technologist- AMA approved program
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • May require on-call weekend holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant.
  • Requires travelling to offsite locations as needed
  • Preferred: industry work experience as X-Ray Application Specialist with a major medical equipment vendor

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist R.T.(R)(ARRT) (ARRT) Approved AMA program
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association

Annual Salary Range: $35.00 - 59.00

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
