Job Description:
The Radiographer under the guidance of an Imaging Supervisor performs diagnostic radiologic examinations; assists physicians with radiologic procedures; prepares examinations for interpretation; maintains radiation safety; and assists with maintaining supplies.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies procedures and guidelines.

Job Description:
The Radiographer under the guidance of an Imaging Supervisor performs diagnostic radiologic examinations; assists physicians with radiologic procedures; prepares examinations for interpretation; maintains radiation safety; and assists with maintaining supplies.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies procedures and guidelines.
Job Qualifications
Education:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
Experience:
- Previous staff radiographer experience preferred.
Job-related Skills:
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong organization skills.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
Essential Job Functions
- Performs and documents diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider.
- Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver.
- Analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control purposes.
- Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
- Operates all radiographic equipment.
- Operates all facility-based computer systems.
- Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol.
- Transports moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
- Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of radiography.
- Participates in quality assurance activities as related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department.
