What Youll Do

Y-12 Radio Program Administrator is the primary contact for the program and is the main interface with Oak Ridge Operations Center (OROC) Y-12 Operations Center federal customers Uranium Processing Facility Project Office (UPO)/NPO Wide Area Radio System (WARS) Prime Contractor to NPO (NNSA Production Office) senior managers directors project managers construction support organizations contractors and subcontractors as necessary to support safe efficient and compliant execution of construction maintenance Pro Force or operations activities within the Y-12 site.

Coordinates throughout the radio equipment life cycle including ordering of radio equipment and parts setting personalities/code plugs approving programming requesting inclusion in WARS system from NPO issuance establishing and monitoring preventative maintenance requirements approving and handling repairs and programming of site components and radios.

Responsible for maintaining the software and firmware to support the radio maintenance program in Software Manager (SMan) including RSR (Radio Service Notification) website. Works with Enterprise and Y-12 Property to ensure status on radio issuance and updates in SAP PATS (Property Accountability Tracking System) and RSR are accurate. Assists in resolution of Y-12 Annual Property inventory issues. Responsible for keeping current system dongles. Primary contact to request Y-12 radios to be on Tennessee Advanced Communication Network (TACN).

Responsible for maintaining the program budget procurements maintenance support staff bench stock materials future cost projections offsite radio maintenance repairs via the radio venders company credit card and internal Procurement interface.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelors degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. (Typical experience ranging 15 years.)
OR Masters degree: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
OR PhD: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
Twenty (20) or more years of relevant education training and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting

Preferred Job Requirements

Strong SAP/PATS working knowledge.
Working knowledge of radio equipment functions and interface capabilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft products and possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712) which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
