Job Summary

ISG is seeking Radar/RF Systems Engineers to support mission-critical GEOINT systems and space-based collection capabilities. This role is ideal for engineers with operational and technical experience supporting RADAR Radio Frequency airborne or satellite systems with a strong preference for satellite mission experience. 
 
The successful candidate will support requirements development architecture analysis systems integration mission processing and technical planning across space and ground environments. This position supports national security missions by advancing Radar/RF collection mission processing architecture integration resiliency and end-to-end mission performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead complex systems engineering efforts for Radar/RF systems across space ground and mission operations environments.  

  • Provide senior technical direction on Radar/RF phenomenology collection methodology mission processing and operational performance.  

  • Perform enterprise-level requirements development definition decomposition traceability validation and technical closure activities.  

  • Evaluate Radar/RF system capabilities across tasking command and control collection mission processing and dissemination.  

  • Conduct architecture analysis trade studies and solution alternative assessments for GEOINT space and ground systems.  

  • Analyze mission processing approaches designed to mitigate radio frequency interference and improve radar processing outcomes.  

  • Perform RF engineering assessments related to system resiliency jamming resistance operational effectiveness and mission assurance.  

  • Support user needs analysis capability gap assessments and solution alternative evaluations to inform Government investment and technical decisions.  

  • Coordinate systems integration strategy readiness planning and end-to-end mission and services closure across complex mission systems.  

  • Identify and resolve technical risks opportunities dependencies and enterprise-level impacts across programs and stakeholders.  

  • Advise senior Government SETA FFRDC IC DoD and industry stakeholders on technical strategy mission impacts and engineering priorities.  

  • Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure the quality consistency and technical credibility of engineering products. 


Qualifications :

Required:  

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.  

  • BS/BA in a technical or STEM field such as engineering physics or a related discipline.  

  • MS/MA may be counted as 3 years of experience; PhD may be counted as 5 years of experience.  

  • 0 years of relevant systems engineering Radar/RF GEOINT space ground or mission operations experience. Candidates will be considered for the Junior (06 years) Mid-Level (711 years) Senior (1217 years) or Expert (18 years) level based on experience and qualifications.  

  • Background supporting Radar/RF systems preferably in satellite mission environments; airborne experience is also relevant.  

  • Knowledge of Radar/RF phenomenology specific to collection and processing methodologies.  

  • RF engineering experience including familiarity with system design approaches for resistance to jamming.  

  • Understanding of Radar/RF systems across tasking command and control collection mission processing and dissemination.  

  • Familiarity with mission processing techniques to address or mitigate the effects of radio frequency interference in radar processing.  

  • Experience with systems engineering core processes including requirements architecture risk and opportunity management systems integration and end-to-end mission and services closure.  

  • GEOINT domain knowledge including space and ground architecture.  

  • Experience with IC DoD and/or commercial space architectures systems operations ground software space development programs or mission operations programs.  

  • Background supporting user needs analysis capability gap assessments and solution alternative analyses.  

  • Understanding of SETA FFRDC and Government lines of authority.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
     

Desired:  

  • Experience with MBSE tools modeling methodologies and UML and SysML modeling languages.  

  • Experience using Confluence Jira and Agile/SAFe system development methods.  

  • OCSMP Level 1 2 or 3 certification.  

  • Prior experience supporting NGA NRO NSG ASG IC DoD or commercial space mission environments.  

  • Experience supporting space-based Radar/RF or satellite mission operations programs.  

  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams.
