QUOTING & PRICING ANALYST FREIGHT FORWARDING
Location: Torrance/Los Angeles CA
Industry: International Freight Forwarding
Salary: $60k/$75K BASE commensurate with experience benefits

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a hands-on Pricing & Quoting Analyst to join a growing freight forwarding team in Los Angeles.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys the freight forwarding industry understands that speed and accuracy can win business and wants to be more than just a desk-based pricing analyst.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales team by building competitive quotes sourcing rates coordinating with carriers and overseas agents and helping turn opportunities into profitable business.
Were looking for a hustler someone who takes ownership moves quickly asks questions wants to learn and isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves when business gets busy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare accurate and competitive air and ocean freight quotations
  • Analyze customer requirements and determine the most appropriate routing and pricing options
  • Source rates from carriers NVOCCs airlines overseas agents and other service providers
  • Work closely with the sales team to respond quickly to new opportunities and RFQs
  • Support sales with pricing strategies designed to win new business while maintaining profitability
  • Review and compare carrier and vendor rates to identify the best solutions
  • Assist with spot quotes contract rates and customer-specific pricing
  • Communicate with sales operations carriers and overseas offices to ensure accurate quotations
  • Maintain pricing information rate sheets and customer quotation records
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and help identify opportunities to convert quotes into shipments
  • Provide ongoing pricing support to the sales team
  • Step in and assist with additional operational or commercial requirements when business levels increase
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience in freight forwarding logistics NVOCC or International Transportation OR Domestic
  • Proven experience with quoting and pricing is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of air and/or ocean freight and/or Domestic
  • Experience working with carrier rates routing surcharges and international freight costs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate quotes quickly
  • Commercially minded with an understanding that pricing is a critical part of winning business
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple quotes simultaneously
  • Comfortable working closely with sales and taking ownership of deadlines
  • High-energy hands-on attitude someone who wants to get involved rather than wait to be told what to do
  • Willingness to put in additional effort when business demands it
