Job Description
Job Summary:
Support the West Lafayette sites quality program by assisting with quality system activities product inspections testing data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations teams to help ensure products and processes meet company quality standards customer requirements and ISO 9001 standards while contributing to ongoing operational improvements.
Job Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of quality standards inspection methods testing procedures and documentation.
Assist with maintaining compliance to ISO 9001 requirements and support internal and external audits.
Collect analyze and report quality and reliability data to support process improvement efforts.
Create and maintain quality records forms work instructions and related documentation.
Assist with sampling plans inspections testing and evaluation of products and materials.
Support calibration and maintenance programs for production test and measurement equipment.
Participate in investigations of nonconforming material and assist with documentation corrective actions and disposition activities.
Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify and implement quality improvements.
Monitor quality performance metrics and help identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality safety efficiency and cost reduction.
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Science Mathematics or a related technical field preferred; equivalent quality experience may be considered.
1-3 years of experience in a quality manufacturing production or technical environment preferred.
Familiarity with quality systems inspection processes and continuous improvement concepts preferred.
Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Experience in regulated manufacturing defense aerospace or CBRNE environments is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and solve problems in a team-oriented environment.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
