Job Title: Quality Technician I

Location:Conyers GA

Summary:

The QA technician routinely performs assignments in support of Dover Food Retails Quality System requirements through all phases of design and manufacture to ensure compliance with blueprint and/or documented process of control requirements.

What youll be responsible for in this role:

• Conduct audits or inspections of product following specifications checklists or process control instructions at various stages of process flow including Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) In-Process Validation (Inspection) and Final Walk (FW).
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and non-conformities in defined quality systems.
• Collaborate with Engineers to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
• Communicate findings to Engineers and quality assurance teams.
• Assist in the development of inspection criteria and methodologies.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain inspection equipment per instructions to ensure accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques such as calipers and micrometers
• Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and suppliers
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Basic understanding of quality control processes and standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

What are the preferred qualifications

• Certification in Quality or related fields
• Associate degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or data analysis software
• Proficiency in using quality management software
• Experience with statistical process control and quality improvement methodologies
