Job Summary

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager and working under general supervision the Quality Technician provides quality department support functions to ensure products processes equipment and systems meet customer regulatory and Flexfab requirements. This position supports inspection calibration auditing testing documentation and continuous improvement activities while collaborating across multiple departments to maintain high quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and submit customer First Article Inspections (FAIs) and PPAP documentation for applicable business units.

Verify identify and maintain calibrated inspection measuring and test equipment at all Flexfab locations to NIST and applicable standards.

Assist in maintaining the calibration recall system for inspection and measurement equipment.

Create Receiving Inspection Plans and perform receiving inspections on purchased products and components utilizing LNCE.

Coordinate third-party calibration services including obtaining quotes creating purchase requisitions scheduling visits hosting vendors and reviewing certifications.

Manage and maintain active and inactive quality-related stamps including inspector supervisor quality and FT stamps.

Track maintain and administer shelf-life controlled materials including expiration monitoring retesting and record updates.

Perform basic metrology inspections using calipers micrometers height gages surface plates and other inspection equipment.

Conduct source inspections of finished goods.

Coordinate and perform annual validations and recurring product testing activities.

Support and perform internal quality audits.

Inspect products and components to customer specifications and Flexfab requirements.

Conduct product process and machine capability studies.

Compile maintain and update inventory records for inspection gages and test equipment.

Provide quality-related support and guidance to quality personnel and other company departments.

Collaborate effectively across departments to support quality initiatives and process improvements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Success Measures

Accurate and timely completion of customer FAIs and PPAP submissions.

Effective management of calibration and inspection equipment with no overdue calibrations.

Consistent compliance with customer regulatory and company quality requirements.

Timely completion of receiving inspections audits and validation testing activities.

Accurate maintenance of quality records certifications and controlled documentation.

Positive support of cross-functional teams in resolving quality-related issues.

Reliable execution of inspections and measurements with attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

Experience with LNCE and PLM systems preferred.

Ability to navigate internet-based supplier and customer portals.

Ability to understand technical specifications read technical drawings and apply basic GD&T principles.

Ability to organize information and prepare technical reports.

Working knowledge of quality concepts and tools including:

Inspection principles and inspection equipment

Materials and manufacturing processes

Technical mathematics

Statistical methods including Cpk and Ppk

Gage R&R

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Sampling principles

ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification or progress toward certification prefer

Successful completion of a qualification assessment is required and will assist with determining qualified candidates.
