Be a change agent for process improvement and standardization efforts. Lead efforts to maintain certifications for ISO and Food Safety as well as relevant customer qualifications. Provide support for other Quality and Manufacturing efforts that pertain to customer quality and satisfaction. Uses Lean Six Sigma methodology to support Lean initiatives improve processes and reduce defects. Implements and maintains internal surveillance audit process focused on ensuring adherence to the QMS Control Plans and QPOC the facility quality efforts and defines areas of responsibility personnel requirements and operational procedures. Ensures that Change Management procedures are followed and communicated to all affected adherence to the internal audit plan to verify plant adherence to FDC quality management system. Assures supplier quality by enforcing quality assurance standards policies and industry/government requirements. Serve as an ISO and/or Food Safety auditor on a local plant level. Lead internal audit planning and execution in preparation for ISO 9001 BRC and FDA for the maintenance of ISO and FSSC documentation at plant level. Maintain quality record documentation including internal audit records management review meeting minutes and charts calibration records training records internal non-conformances customer complaints vendor non-conformances corrective action reports and meeting action point of contact for internal and external (customer complaints inclusive) investigation of non-conformances to include interaction with process owners and Senior Management with the end result being the determination of root cause and corrective actions that may require training. This may include travel to customer facilities for in-person customer-facing quality support including direct communication and issue as plants SME for for calibration of all quality devices scales and production glass and brittle breakage logs required for BRC audit submission and logging of microbiological testing for BRC and FDA new Quality employees or retraining current employees in the use of all gauges and measurement equipment as it relates to internal and external fitness for use critical audits per applicable sampling plans including shipping and converting audits; support data integrity testing methodology standardization and non-conformance material containment QA laboratory testing as required for specified product linesConduct process capability analysis and routine inspection and testing of with facility management team to achieve overall financial objectives reduce customer credits by making fiscally responsible business decisions and initiating corrective actions to prevent systemic issues from and develops plant Quality Technicians in effective use of quality tools such as process audits root cause counter measure (RCCM) measurement systems analysis (MSA) and statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS) when continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and A3 (PDCA) problem-solving ISO BRC and HAACP or similar principles and assists in facilitating compliance throughout the plant through a variety of in special projects and performs other duties as :Bachelors degree in engineering Manufacturing Technology or Business Administration (related technical discipline may be considered) or similar. Minimum of 2 years experience in leadership role in one or more of the areas of quality engineering manufacturing and/or lean problem solver with direct experience coaching teaching and applying lean sigma six sigma and/or lean manufacturing techniques.
