Job Summary

Overall ScopePerform all tasks of an employee of the Quality Department that fall within their responsibilities in accordance with the Quality Manual Handbook and the Procedural : 1st Shift Primary work hours are between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday Friday. Overtime as needed Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma is required. Associates degree preferredDemonstrated experience with quality measurements in a high-precision manufacturing understanding of measurement concepts and ability to interpret engineering drawings per ASME and ISO standards. GD&T experience is desirableDemonstrated proficiency in measurement tools such as CMM Vision Systems Form Gages and standard high-precision measurement tools Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational skills with regard to data collection and basic analysisResponsibilities and DutiesMaintain measurement equipment in the Measurement Laboratory and ensure it can meet needsCheck conformity of environmental conditions in the Measurement LaboratoryMake decisions concerning the feasibility of measurementsParticipate in analyzing drawings in relationship to measurement methods and needsMake sure required measurements are consistent with end goalsHelp create workload schedule for Measurement LaboratoryTrain and mentor Quality Technicians in metrology processes and best practicesTrain Manufacturing Operators and Technicians on metrology processes and best practicesDecide on conformity of measured dimensions and draw up summaries of the resultsPerform Product/Process audits and report out quantitative results Assist and proxy with calibration technicianOther tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance FocusWalking to and around the production floor sitting at desk. Handling and lifting of various parts on the production floor up to in lab using various measurement machines and handling parts for measurement and on a computer reviewing monitor while sitting in chair at telephoneHours: 1st Shift Primary work hours are between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday Friday.
