Job Summary
TACTICAL SUMMARY
- Coordinate precision lab daily workflow to support company objectives
- Assure precision lab equipment is operating properly
- Prioritize daily tasks within the precision lab to assure the daily weekly and monthly measurement are completed on time and meet production requirements
- Supports the scheduling of die confirmation activity for new and repaired dies to meet company and departmental needs
- Able to determine best method to verify products based off actual parts and drawings
- Determines need for new equipment and fixtures to improve measurement capabilities
- Writes CMM programs for all production parts gauges and equipment as required
- Completes new model measurement requirements and submits reports for full layout data and capability studies
- Compile and summarize measurement data to support analysis including capability studies as requested
- Supports production engineers to adjust machining and assembly processes
- Communicates with manufacturing departments to assure proper disposition of suspect or out of standard product
- Assist on in-house parts quality procedures standards and/or specifications
- Calibrate and maintain computerized testing equipment
- Determine overall parts quality by using computerized testing equipment
- Communicate to staff the collection and analysis of New Model event production and sample data
- Follow measuring standards by reading blueprints
- Provide support confirming manufacturing specifications are compliant with company standards
- Work with production staff to ensure proper procedures are followed for quality purposes
- Work closely with Technical Planning Group
- Assist in schedule and countermeasure findings for Internal Audits
- Support in creating and issuing Quality Assurance documents which include but not limited to PFMEA PQCT Quality Inspection Standards and Check Sheets
- Log and track part quality information in Plex
- Confirm materials are correct for operating Die Cast machines
- Operate and maintain testing equipment/machines: sander polisher xray crush cut and micro structure
- Process knowledge to know what area/department to communicate with
- All other assigned duties

- Technical Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education

- Oral and written communication skills decent interpersonal skills as well as organizational abilities.
- Able to manage a project with minimal assistance to achieve milestones and project goals
- Some process knowledge of the manufacturing areas covered.
- Some knowledge of the materials i.e.: production/quality/reporting forms visual boards etc.
- Positive attitude and approach in a changing environment.
- Ability to take initiative to meet deadlines to maintain confidentiality and to work in a team environment.
- Background in computer programming CNC programming or other related skills
