Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector will Identify problems with workmanship or process damage. Ensure thequality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic againstpredetermined specifications drawings or standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Works from blueprints customer drawings engineering change notices military standardsand established operating procedures to determine acceptance rejection or reworkrequirements of assembled units or supplier components
  • Conducts visual inspections with high level of accuracy to verify physical properties
  • Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed
  • Proactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization
  • Enters data into software tools
  • Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of five years experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in manufacturing environment required
  • Knowledge: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence to performinspections using micrometers dial-bore gages comparators calipers thread gages height gages dial indicators operating a CMM (pre-made programs)
  • General PC skills including WordExcel and Oracle; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; Accurate color visionand depth perception; Vision corrected to 20/20
  • Ability to work in a team-orientedenvironment including interfacing with Production Control Manufacturing Floor Machinists and Technicians Internal Quality EngineersCustomers and other Internal Management personnel
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Eligibility Requirement:This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be a US Department of Defense contractor we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards
  • Familiar with AS9102 First Article Requirements

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limitedto: eye safety glasses gowning masks hearing protectors heel/wrist straps and any otherrequired PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises cold temperaturesconfined spaces dust or fumes
  • Involves handling parts in compliance with Electrostatic Discharge Devices (ESD procedures)
  • Standing: 10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Sitting: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
  • Mental/Visual: use of computer
  • Workspace: work bench

Salary range: $20/hr. - $36/hr. Several factors contribute to actual salary including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities skills training and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
