Work Schedule
Work just 3 days a week and enjoy a 4-day weekend every week.
This position follows aThursday Saturday 5:00 AM 5:00 PMschedule giving you full-time hours in three days and four consecutive days off to recharge spend time with family or pursue what matters most to you.

SUMMARY
The Quality Inspection Team Lead is a working lead responsible for coordinating quality inspection activities across the assigned shift. This position performs advanced inspection work whileprovidingday-to-day guidance training workflow coordination and hands-on support to Quality Inspectors and production team members.
The Team Lead helps the teamoperatesafelyand efficientlyin accordance withcustomer requirements IPC workmanship standards and internal procedures. Responsibilities include providing coverage during absences onboarding and training employees ensuring completion of required training coaching team members resolvingqualityand process issues and partnering with the Shift Supervisor Quality Production and Engineering when escalation oradditionalsupport is needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Serves as a working lead and activelyparticipatesin the teams daily operations.
- Performs advanced visual inspections of printed circuit boards electronic components subassemblies box-build assemblies and incoming materials using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) magnification lamps microscopes and other inspection tools.
- Performs inspections across Surface Mount Technology (SMT) modifications through-hole final and rework inspection processes.
- Reads and interprets customer specifications drawings bills of material job travelers work instructions and quality documentation; translates those requirements into inspection criteria and product-conformance decisions.
- Verifies products against IPC-A-610 workmanship standards customer requirements and internal quality documentation.
- Accurately records inspection results andmaintainscompleteaccurate and traceable inspection records inFactoryLogixor other required systems.
- Identifies documents and communicates defects nonconforming product documentation gaps and process concerns.
- Escalates recurring defects and quality concerns to Quality Production Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering or otherappropriate supportteams.
- Coordinates and prioritizes the teams day-to-day activities and workflow based on production needs.
- Provides hands-on coverage during employee absences workload increases and other production needs.
- Collaborates cross-functionally toidentify document troubleshoot and resolve quality and process issues.
- Ensures all required training is completed and documented across the assigned shift including:
- Providing X-ray safety and equipment operation training.
- Delivering IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification training.
- Leads new-employee onboarding and coordinates training for new hires.
- Provides real-time coaching guidance and technical support to Quality Inspectors and production team members.
- Mentors team members in inspection techniques documentation practices customer requirements quality procedures and process adherence.
- Providestimely job-related performance feedbackregardingteam members to the Shift Supervisor.
- Participates in internal quality audits problem-solving initiatives Lean activities and continuous improvement efforts.
- Adheres to process documentation and partners with process owners to improve quality efficiency and process consistency.
- Champions safety and 6S standards throughout production workspaces.
- Partners with fellow leads to provide operational coverage during the Shift Supervisors absence.
- Maintains regular onsite attendance. Because the essential duties of this position can only be performed onsite regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESââ
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility. However the Quality Inspection Team Lead provides day-to-day functional leadership training workflow coordination and oversight forQuality Inspector I III Assemblers WAVE and Selective Solder Machine Operators and Rework Specialists.â
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GEDrequired.
- Associate degree in electronics quality manufacturing or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience in electronics manufacturing quality inspection or a relatedmanufacturing environment; or a minimum of three years of applicable experience without a degree.
- Advanced experience inspecting printed circuit boards electronic components subassemblies box-build assemblies and incoming materials across SMT modifications through-hole final and rework inspection processes.
- Advanced knowledge of IPC-A-610 soldering workmanship and electronic-assembly acceptance standards.
- Basic soldering skills.
- Must hold or be able to obtain andmaintainan active IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification.
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications drawings bills of material job travelers work instructions and quality documentation and apply those requirements when making product-conformance decisions.
- Experience using inspection tools and equipment including AOI magnification lamps microscopes and similar inspection tools.
- Ability to perform detailed inspection work accurately and efficiently with limited supervision.
- Ability to objectivelyidentify document communicate and escalate defects nonconforming product documentation gaps and process concerns.
- Demonstrated ability to lead train coach mentor and influence team members without relying on direct supervisory authority.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to provide clear professional feedback to production employees leadership engineers and other cross-functional partners.
- Strong critical-thinking troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to resolving issues.
- Strong workflow coordination and prioritization skills with the ability to remain effective as assignments and business needs change.
- Demonstrated reliability punctuality adaptability and attention to detail.
- Basic computer and data-entryproficiency including the ability to navigate company systems email online training HRIS applications electronic inspection records and other systemsrequiredto support daily responsibilities.
- Ability to interpret performance data graphs and other visual reports.
- Proficiencyin reading writing speaking and understanding English sufficient to communicate effectively andcomprehendcustomer specifications company procedures work instructions and other job-related documentation.
- Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division.
- Must achieve passing score on the IPC Component Identification course.ââ
- Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.â
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) environment.
- Previousexperience as a lead inspector senior quality inspector trainer or team lead.
- Experience delivering IPC-A-610 CIS training or certifying employees to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience withFactoryLogixor another electronic manufacturing execution or inspection-record system.
- Experience with X-ray inspectionequipment
