Job Summary
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop and test software modules based on client requirements and prepare project documentation while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery.
Areas of responsibility
Gathering of requirements-Assist in conducting workshops and discussions with client stakeholders to gather business process requirements.
Coding and Configuration-Develop and deliver code for assigned modules in alignment with client requirements ensuring proper integration with system components.
Testing and Trial Runs-Execute testing for assigned modules validate functionality across required interactions and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
Implementation-Participate in implementation of software application and its integration with other systems to ensure stability.
Maintain Documentation-Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project specifications activities and status while presenting information using flowcharts layouts diagrams code comments and clear well-structured code.
Stakeholder Collaboration-Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements support development activities check system compatibility and ensure solutions meet expected standards.
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (QE) - Testing professional with strong expertise in Selenium-based test automation Python scripting ETL/Data Warehouse testing and database validation. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience working in large-scale enterprise environments preferably within Banking and Financial Services and be capable of validating complex data pipelines applications and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and Python.
Create and execute automated test scripts for functional regression integration and end-to-end testing.
Validate ETL processes data transformations and data migration activities across multiple systems.
Perform Data Warehouse testing to ensure data integrity completeness and accuracy.
Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing using Oracle databases.
Analyze source-to-target mappings and validate business rules implemented within ETL workflows.
Work closely with developers business analysts and data engineers to identify and resolve defects.
Perform batch process validation and backend testing in Unix/Linux environments.
Validate large data sets using Hive and data processing platforms.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups backlog grooming and retrospectives.
Prepare test plans test cases test execution reports and defect metrics.
Support release validation activities and production deployment testing.
Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
5 to 8 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience in Selenium Testing.
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and test framework development.
Experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in Oracle Database.
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
Hands-on experience with Hive for data validation and querying.
Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of PySpark and large-scale data processing.
Exposure to Playwright automation framework.
Experience with PyCharm and IntelliJ IDEA development environments.
Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Engineering or related field.
Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and reporting systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced client-facing environment
Mandatory Skills: Quality Assurance. Experience: 3-5 Years.The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45000 to $110000 . Final compensation will depend on various factors including your geographical location minimum wage obligations skills and relevant experience.
