Job Title: Quality Engineer III
Job Location: Bloomfield CT
Job Duration: 6 months
shift: The work schedule is Monday through Friday with shifts from either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summary:
Research and test the design functionality and maintenance of products equipment systems and processes and develop quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and standards.
The technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.
Typically has a bachelors degree in an engineering discipline.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in engineering required 5-7 years experience required
Responsibility:
Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor
Skills:
Creativity verbal and written communication skills analytical and problem solving ability (Required)
Team player and detail oriented (Required)
Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawing schematics and computer-generated reports (Typically required)
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Typically required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
May specialize in areas of quality control engineering such as design incoming material process control product evaluation product reliability inventory control metrology automated testing software research and development and administrative application.
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials product or process quality and reliability.
