WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Must be able to climb up rail cars using all safety precautions and harness to pull samples.
Tests and inspects the products in appropriate departments (shipping and necessary packaging) at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
Performs quality control functions in Shipping Receiving or Packaging departments by collecting and evaluating production samples ensuring that materials and products meet acceptable quality and integrity standards.
Performs a variety of continuous Quality Control checks during production and on finished goods to ensure product quality and packaging meet required customer specifications and food safety guidelines.
Maintains consistent quality standards on all incoming and outgoing paperwork for the product.
Documents Quality Control checks per required guidelines accurately and timely.
Communicates necessary information to Managers/Supervisors Leads and/or Machine Operators regarding product quality and packaging defects discovered during control checks.
Grades incoming product samples received by truck and rail.
Pulls and ships outbound samples for customers.
Communicates variations in Housekeeping and National Food Safety standards to the Quality Control Supervisor as they occur.
Monitors and completes necessary documentation with grade and lot information.
Ensures that Quality Control documentation is complete and accurate.
Checks product from packaging lines every hour.
Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.

- Immediately notifies Production Supervisor when serious product defects or risks arise.
- Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.

WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:
Intermediate Math skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
Basic computer knowledge and use of touch screens.
