We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) who will be the driving force behind project quality from concept through completion. What Youll Do
As the QCM you will be the onsite authority for all things quality ensuring every project meets contractual requirements technical specifications and industry best practices. You will:
- Develop and lead project Quality Control Plans to ensure success across assigned federal construction projects.
- Review and interpret complex technical documents including contract specifications and architectural/engineering/mechanical/electrical drawings.
- Solve problems using datadriven reasoning analyzing variables and drawing sound conclusions.
- Review and approve submittals manage RFIs and maintain comprehensive Daily Activity Reports documenting site progress.
- Collaborate closely with client QA personnel technical experts and construction supervisors to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
- Lead meetings deliver presentations and coordinate problemsolving sessions with authorities having jurisdiction and subjectmatter experts.
- Utilize QCS/RMS and Microsoft Office tools to manage data prepare reports and support project documentation.
- Implement USACEs ThreePhase Quality Control Process and evaluate survey shots for grade and elevation.
- Mentor Quality Control Specialists and contribute to ongoing improvement of quality practices.
Youll play a key role in maintaining our culture of safety accuracy and professionalism while helping deliver projects that directly support government and military operations.
Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities
Depending on the project complexity you will:
- Manage the Project Quality Control Plan.
- Ensure contract requirements and standards are met.
What you Bring
Required Qualitifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience on federal projects
- Experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC construction projects
- Proven performance as a certified QC Specialist/Manager on federal construction work
- Current or renewable CQMC certification
- Ability to manage multiple design teams throughout DesignBuild phases
- Strong proficiency with USACE QCS or RMS platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Preferred:
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings involving interaction with individuals of diverse functions personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will be required to perform climbing balancing stooping kneeling standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger grasp feel talk hear and repeat motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures viewing a computer terminal reading visual inspection involving small defects or small parts operation of machines (including inspection) using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary range for this position is $120000.00-$145000.00 per year.
The pay range and total target compensation package listed above reflect the expected starting pay for this role. While actual compensation will depend on factors such as location relevant experience skillset and internal equity we commonly hire at or near the midpoint of the range.
