Job Summary
We are looking for:
The Quality Control Lab Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day activities of the QC laboratory ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and providing troubleshooting and support for analytical quality and production issues. The role requires interaction with various departments including production and technical teams to maintain quality standards and resolve customer complaints.

- Maintain the laboratory and office in a clean safe and orderly condition.
- In conjunction with the plant leadership team help set standards for safety and housekeeping.
- Fully participate in plant HSE initiatives including performing audits housekeeping inspections and incident investigations to assure compliance with existing safety rules and procedures and to assess the effectiveness and need for other risk reduction activities within the departments.
- Completes actions items assigned as part of incident investigations management of change audits and investigations.
- Manage/supervise day to day activities ofQC laboratory
- Provide day to day troubleshooting of analytical quality and production issues.
- Provide monthly quality communication to plant employees at the blending team meeting.
- Participation in new product introductions to the site.
- TrainQC Technicians on new methods/procedures.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for allQC Technicians.
- Investigate and identify new methods for improvedQC testing to improve cycle times and reduce testing.
- Functions asQC Technician as required.
- Ensures allQC procedures are up to date.
- Utilizes the tools of Manufacturing Excellence to engage theQC laboratory as part of the sites growth.
- Routine auditing of plant procedures and documentation including microbial audits throughout the plant.
- Upholds quality standards to conform to ISO 9001 RSPO and EFfCI policies and procedures
- Site contact/support for LabWare.
- Maintains the sites ISO 9001 RSPO and EFfCI systems. This includes hosting of internal/external audits as well as routine internal reviews with the management staff.
- Fully controls the sites off grade tracking including rework plans.
- Controls all customer complaint resolution.
- Site contact/support for all Quality topics/issues.

You will bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred but other related sciences will be considered based on work history.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the laboratory setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 RSPO and EFfCI standards
- Experience with LabWare (or comparable laboratory software)
- Experience with SAP
- Detailed experience with classical wet chemistry methods and standard QC instrumentation (GC/LC)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) ranging from hourly employees to upper management including customers
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Must be able to simultaneously organize and prioritize numerous tasks
- This position requires the person to be independent organized and self-motivated
- Strong Gas Chromatography troubleshooting skills (i.e.: column changing general PM of system)

- The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88480 to $110600. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate such as skills experience qualifications etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
