Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesInspection & Quality ControlPerform incoming in-process and final inspections of materials components and finished equipment to ensure compliance with specificationsConduct dock audits quality audits and process verifications to validate adherence to standardsUtilize precision measuring tools such as calipers micrometers gauges and testing equipmentEvaluate product quality against engineering drawings work instructions and quality requirementsData Analysis & ReportingAccurately record and maintain inspection results test data and quality documentationAnalyze inspection and test data to identify trends defects and process inefficienciesCommunicate findings to production teams supervisors and leadership to support decision-makingMaintain both electronic and hardcopy quality records in compliance with company standardsDefect Resolution & Continuous ImprovementIdentify document and report non-conforming materials products and processesParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiativesSupport or coordinate repair and rework activities to resolve quality defectsRecommend and implement improvements to reduce scrap rework and production downtimeApply continuous improvement tools and lean methodologies to enhance quality performanceProcess & Documentation SupportAssist in the development of inspection plans control plans and quality proceduresEnsure all work is performed in accordance with quality policies SOPs and regulatory requirementsSupport internal and external quality audits as requiredTraining & Team SupportProvide guidance and training to team members on quality standards inspection methods and best practicesCollaborate cross-functionally with Production Fabrication Assembly and Engineering teamsPromote a culture of quality ownership and accountability across the shop floorSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all health safety and environmental policies in a heavy manufacturing environmentEnsure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesIdentify and report unsafe conditions or practicesPerform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operationsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum 23 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment Experience with inspection tools measurement techniques and quality documentation Must pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsAssociates degree in Quality Manufacturing or related field 4 years of experience in quality assurance within heavy manufacturing or industrial environments Experience with ISO standards quality management systems (QMS) or regulatory requirements Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and labelling requirements Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis toolsKnowledge Skills Abilities & CompetenciesTechnical & AnalyticalStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect interpret and analyze data to drive decisionsUnderstanding of quality methodologies inspection processes and manufacturing workflowsAbility to identify issues and recommend practical data-driven solutionsProblem SolvingDemonstrates strong root cause analysis capability and critical thinkingLooks beyond symptoms to identify underlying process issuesProactively contributes to continuous improvement and defect reductionCommunication & CollaborationStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate quality expectations and findings to all levels of the organizationWorks collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive resultsProfessional CompetenciesHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyStrong sense of ownership accountability and integrityAbility to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgencyReliable self-directed and results-orientedOperational EffectivenessDemonstrates commitment to safety quality and productivity goalsMeets deadlines and maintains consistent outputSupports overall organizational performance and continuous improvementMust wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesJob ConditionsManufacturing/factory environment.
