Job Description:
As a Quality Assurance Analyst you will ensure the quality reliability and performance of software applications by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. You will work closely with development and business teams to validate system functionality identify defects and ensure that applications meet user expectations and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support continuous improvement in product quality and testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure all system objectives and requirements are met
- Design and implement test scripts to evaluate functionality reliability and performance
- Identify document and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate issues and improve product quality
- Analyze test results and compile statistical data to support quality assessments
- Recommend and implement preventative and corrective actions to meet quality standards
- Validate that user expectations and business requirements are met during testing
- Draft and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures
- Investigate customer complaints and issues related to product performance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
- Experience in quality assurance testing or auditing for software applications
- Strong knowledge of QA tools databases and testing methodologies
- Experience developing test plans test cases and test scripts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate solutions
- Experience with performance functional and regression testing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in Agile or structured development environments
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $35.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
