QA Technician 1st Shift

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Team Leader this role supports plant quality food safety and regulatory compliance through a blend of laboratory testing and production floor activities. Approximately 40% of the time is spent performing laboratory analysis and documentation with 60% spent on the production floor monitoring processes conducting inspections and partnering with operations teams. This position helps ensure quality standards are met through testing data collection auditing troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Perform tests to ensure quality standards are met.
• Input data into computer systems to maintain a permanent record of all finished analyses.
• Follow established procedures and make decisions based on company specifications.
• Identify differences from standard specifications and notify management when such differences are found.
• Monitor production processes to verify compliance with food safety quality and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct product inspections audits and evaluations throughout the manufacturing process.
• Collect samples and perform quality checks using established procedures and specifications.
• Document inspection results non-conformances corrective actions and quality-related activities accurately and timely.
• Work well in team settings and collaborate with multiple departments including operations maintenance corporate partners and outside vendors.
• Support plant operations by providing coverage during lab technician absenteeism and vacation periods which may require flexible shifts overtime or weekend work.
• Assist with quality investigations product holds customer complaints and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Verify that sanitation and good manufacturing practices are followed throughout the facility.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in quality assurance food manufacturing laboratory testing or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience using computer systems for data entry reporting and recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Flexibility to support operational needs including schedule adjustments when required.
• Commitment to food safety quality and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

• Being on your feet walking around the facility climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
• Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
• Frequently lifting pushing or carrying materials.
