Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation testing and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Playwright automation framework or Selenium - Java and GitHub typically focuses on developing maintaining integrating automated end-to-end (E2E) tests within a CI/CD pipeline UI Path and API testing along with solid functional testing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop maintain and scalable automated test scripts using Playwright with languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript Python Java.
Implement and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing.
Build optimize and maintain custom automation frameworks often following design patterns like the Page Object Model (POM).
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality standards.
Ensure web application compatibility and functionality across different modern browsers including Chromium Firefox and WebKit
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
Perform functional testing to validate business requirements and ensure application stability.
Analyze test results identify defects and work closely with developers for resolution.
Stay updated with emerging tools technologies and best practices in automation testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with the Playwright framework for web and API automation.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (most common) and potentially Python Java
Proficiency in using Git and GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
Solid understanding of testing principles methodologies (Agile/Scrum BDD/TDD) and best practices for writing resilient and scalable tests.
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and experience configuring workflows particularly using GIT Hub
Excellent analytical and debugging skills leveraging Playwrights tools like the Trace Viewer screenshots and video recordings.
The ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues and flaky tests in real-time.
