Punch Press Die Setter Operator

Ohio Gasket and Shim is a Stamping and Fabrication shop that is seeking a 1st Shift Punch Press Die Setter / Operator
The hours for a 1st Shift Position - flexible hours - M-TH 10 hrs or M-F 8 hrs or M-TH 9 hrs & F 4 hrs - starting time can be discussed.
This position is responsible for the proper setup operation and maintenance of equipment with Progressive Dies Compound Dies and Single-Hit tooling.
Essential Functions
- Safety - knowledge understanding and ability to follow lockout/tagout procedure/program press guarding pullbacks and PPE
- Stage work site and prepare press of setup - follow procedures and setup area for production
- Prepare die(s) for installation
- Setup press and install die(s)
- Prepare and adjust uncoiler and straightener
- Make a quality piece part
- Run production when all machines have been setup
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements
- Basic blueprint reading
- Basic reading and math skills
- At least 5 years Punch Press Operator experience in a Metal Stamping environment
