A deli associate is responsible for customer service food preparation product display and maintaining safety and sanitation in a deli department. They work in supermarkets grocery stores delicatessens and specialty food shops.

• Prepare and display products: Slice meats/cheeses assemble sandwiches create trays and stock display cases.
• Customer service: Take orders answer product questions provide recommendations and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Food safety & sanitation: Clean equipment sanitize work areas maintain proper temperatures rotate stock and remove expired items.
• Inventory & stocking: Unload deliveries restock coolers and cases label products and maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Equipment operation:Use slicers scales ovens steamers and POS systems safely and accurately.
