Job Summary

Reporting to the Medical Director this physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacologic treatment collaborate with care teams and families supervise psychiatric residents and provide clinical consultation to APRNs.

What You Will Do:

  • Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations including clinical formulations and recommendations grounded in sound clinical principles and judgment.
  • Evaluate individuals for psychopharmacologic treatment and prescribe medications in accordance with current standards of care.
  • Engage appropriate family members and collateral contacts in treatment planning and care coordination.
  • Produce timely high-quality clinical documentation and bill for services in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychiatric residents and support their development within the care environment.
  • Offer clinical consultation and guidance to APRNs regarding psychiatric care and treatment needs.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings with outpatient clinicians supervisors and other care partners.
  • Use agency technology and communication systems effectively while contributing to teamwork service quality and continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with completed residency training in Psychiatry.
  • Current Massachusetts medical license as an MD or DO.
  • Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate.
  • Current Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration.
  • Broad knowledge of mental illness and current psychopharmacologic interventions.
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to treat challenging and diverse populations with sound clinical judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication collaboration interpersonal and consultation skills.
  • Proficiency with clinical and agency technology along with strong organization reliability and openness to technological change.
