Position: Psychiatrist

Location:Central Texas (Remote Work Opportunities Available After 90 Days)

Salary: $240000 - $280000 (Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance available!)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients through both in-person and virtual appointments managing medication and monitoring patient progress
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic health record system including treatment plans medication changes and follow-up recommendations
  • Collaborate with primary care providers therapists and other healthcare team members to provide integrated care and ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor mental health interns and medical students while contributing to their educational development through clinical teaching opportunities
  • Respond promptly to patient messages prescription refill requests and clinical questions within established timeframes to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation 1-2 times per year providing emergency psychiatric consultation and crisis management as needed
  • Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and emergency services to facilitate appropriate care transitions when patients require different levels of treatment

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas medical license (or scheduled Medical Jurisprudence exam)
  • Board eligibility in Psychiatry (ABPN); certification required within 3 years
  • Current DPS and DEA certificates (or in process)
  • Expert knowledge of DSM-5-TR
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and integrated behavioral healthcare
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and telemedicine platforms
