Project Systems Technician
Job Summary
Summary:
Under direction of the Project Systems Manager assists with the process of mobilization and demobilization of construction projects pertaining to office trailers office equipment technology and information systems connections and service
Duties and Responsibilities:
Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams external teams and customers.
Ensures that Constructing with Integrity is delivered by working with honesty unity safety and quality of work.
Participate in preconstruction meetings. Play a role in assessing project needs for information systems and related connectivity and service.
Assists with planning with applicable Project Manager and Superintendent in order to meet needs and schedule.
Routinely meet with Business Development leaders in order to trend and plan for upcoming work.
Mobilize and demobilize job trailers. Travel to projects nationwide. Install networking AV and other related equipment. Install network cabling where necessary.
Reduce inefficiencies due to variation in systems need and equipment.
Assist with procurement service and repair contracts replacement and assignment of copiers.
Comply with all safety policies practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals.
Accept accountability for both individual and team performance.
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associates degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail routine database activity word processing spreadsheet graphics etc.
Construction industry experience helpful.
Fluent in English and Spanish helpful.
