Job Summary
Olive Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join a leading heavy haul and specialized transportation organization. This individual will play a key role in overseeing field operations coordinating crews managing jobsite safety and ensuring engineered transport projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday
Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience comprehensive benefits and paid time off
Employment Type: Full-time direct hire with client
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of field operations for heavy haul and specialized transport projects ensuring safety quality and productivity standards are consistently met
Plan and coordinate daily field activities including scheduling modular trailer configuration equipment utilization and subcontractor performance
Lead and mentor crews performing jack-and-slide operations gantry work dual-lane moves and hydraulic platform trailer transports
Conduct daily and weekly project meetings to review progress safety execution plans and upcoming tasks
Ensure strict compliance with engineered drawings load plans safety regulations and company policies maintaining a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk prevention
Collaborate with project managers engineers and permitting teams to ensure alignment on project goals routes and method statements
Manage field documentation including daily reports timesheets material logs transport packages and inspection records
Identify potential project issues or delays early and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
Oversee subcontractor coordination quality control and adherence to transport specifications drawings and engineering requirements
Ensure proper operation inspection and readiness of equipment such as hydraulic trailers jacks skidding systems gantries and support vehicles
Foster strong communication between field teams management and clients to maintain transparency and accountability
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy haul specialized transportation rigging or engineered-move field supervision
Proven background leading crews on complex heavy transport projects such as jack-and-slide gantry lifts dual-lane trailers or modular hydraulic trailer operations
Strong understanding of jobsite safety standards engineered transport drawings project scheduling and resource coordination
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct diverse field teams
Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings load diagrams hydraulic schematics and transport plans
Experience with modular trailers (Goldhofer Faymonville Scheuerle PST/PSTe dual-lane or SPMT systems) is strongly preferred
Proficient in project documentation daily reporting and time management
Commitment to safety quality and professional integrity in all aspects of field operations
