Were looking for a Project Manager Sustaining Engineering to lead the successful completion of the project lifecycle for engineering initiatives from conception through commercialization in the market. Youll be able to manage larger more complex projects independently with responsibilities spanning tactical managerial and technical work that call for strong leadership and communication skills along with an in-depth understanding of the Product Development Process and Victaulics product portfolio.

WHAT YOULL BUILD & OWN

Project Management

  • Assume full ownership and accountability for multiple engineering initiatives setting clear objectives and direction for cross-functional teams
  • Develop and maintain project schedules adhering to policies procedures and standard work processes
  • Assist Product Management and/or the Program Manager in completing project charters scope goals deliverables required resources budget and timing per the roles and responsibility guidelines in VPG-001

Strategic Planning

  • Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with organizational goals ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects

Core Team Management

  • Lead inspire and mentor project members fostering collaboration creative thinking and a high-performance culture to achieve project milestones and objectives

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership to gather requirements manage expectations and ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Demonstrate competency in creating presentations confidently presenting and interacting with all levels of the organization

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Identify potential risks and challenges early in the project developing proactive mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and maintain project progress

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure quality control measures are utilized to meet standards regulatory requirements and project scope expectations

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze project performance and identify areas for improvement through lessons learned at each milestone process enhancements and best practices promoting efficiency and excellence in the new product development process
  • Collaborate to develop tools and best practices for project management and execution

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Product Development with a track record of successfully launching products to market
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving business objectives; analytical mindset and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to facilitate productive discussions and reach consensus
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs; experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Proficient with electronic systems and software (Microsoft Office project management software etc.)
  • Willingness to be flexible in schedule and to travel to evaluate product performance in the field and ensure customer value is delivered

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related technical discipline and/or 5 years of extensive experience in project management
  • Project Management Certification or degree (e.g. PMP or equivalent)
