Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager / Program Manager to support complex healthcare operations accreditation initiatives and public health programs. The successful candidate will work directly with the Privacy Officer Special Assistant to the President T2 Chief Operating Officer and program leadership to ensure all project deliverables are completed within scope schedule and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a hands-on leader with demonstrated experience managing projects delegating responsibilities to junior staff coordinating cross-functional teams and supporting operational excellence within healthcare or public health environments. Experience overseeing regulatory-based policies and procedures research projects accreditation standards and healthcare operations is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational analytical communication and stakeholder management skills along with the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities Program & Project Management
  • Independently manage all aspects of assigned project lifecycles including planning scope definition design execution implementation monitoring and delivery.
  • Lead and support multiple operational and strategic healthcare initiatives aligned with organizational and Test & Trace objectives.
  • Delegate work effectively and supervise 3 4 junior staff members while ensuring quality and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Provide project status reporting regarding milestones deliverables dependencies risks issues and mitigation plans to executive leadership.
  • Develop implement and improve administrative and operational processes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure project initiatives align with applicable regulatory accreditation and operational standards.
Healthcare Operations Support
  • Support initiatives focused on maintaining a positive patient experience for individuals receiving healthcare and COVID-19 testing services.
  • Coordinate operational support for the launch and expansion of testing sites mobile testing teams microsites and community-based healthcare initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Facilities IT Supply Chain Safety Operations and Clinical teams to ensure adherence to established processes and resolve operational challenges.
  • Execute and oversee day-to-day operations of testing and community health sites including support for testing contact tracing and patient care operations.
  • Monitor staffing levels and coordinate staffing adjustments as needed.
  • Liaise with staffing agencies regarding schedules staffing concerns and operational trends requiring mitigation.
  • Identify and coordinate partnerships with community-based organizations to support mobile and microsite initiatives.
  • Manage ongoing supply and inventory needs required for operational continuity.
  • Provide on-site operational support staff mediation issue resolution and performance monitoring as required.
Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance
  • Support the development implementation evaluation and maintenance of accreditation programs including the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and related oncology accreditation standards.
  • Assist with preparation for accreditation surveys audits and corrective action plans.
  • Develop and maintain policies procedures and regulatory documentation aligned with healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through accreditation and regulatory readiness activities.
  • Interpret performance metrics quality indicators and operational data to support compliance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation management and organizational systems for accreditation and operational records.
Leadership & Communication
  • Support executive leadership by proactively escalating high-priority risks and operational issues.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams external partners community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations reports dashboards and operational summaries for leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with administrative leaders technical teams clinical staff and external organizations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • Graduate degree may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project or program management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative and/or management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from conceptualization through implementation and scale.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating junior staff members.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written verbal presentation and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with broadly defined objectives.
  • Strong documentation management and policy/procedure development experience.
  • Ability to interpret operational data performance metrics and quality indicators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry public health hospital or government healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance accreditation standards and healthcare policy research projects preferred.
  • Prior experience with NAPBC CoC oncology accreditation standards or similar healthcare accreditation programs preferred.
  • Experience preparing organizations for surveys audits and corrective action plans.
  • Knowledge of breast care pathways and healthcare program development preferred.
  • Previous experience working with NYC government agencies hospitals public health organizations or community-based organizations preferred.
  • Strategic planning and operational improvement experience preferred.
  • NYC residency preferred.
  • Valid driver s license and clean driving record preferred.
