MV Transportation isseeking aProject Manager for proposed businesswhowill provide support leadership and direction to the assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans. He/she will control the daily operation of our transportation contract in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.
- Identify select train and mentor location staff.
- Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements.
- Oversee safety and training programs plans and processes to ensure compliance withcompany contract and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct periodic departmental audits.
- Daily weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.
- Ensure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously exceptions are reported and action plans are developed to ensure the location meets its financial safety and operational expectations.
- Implement promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in location(s) labor and employee relations activities.
- Provide insight and information to support location(s) contract renewals.
- Create and present location(s) annual budget.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applicable Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements and all client policies procedures and operating requirements applicable to the services provided under this Agreement.
- Provide leadership and direction to CONTRACTOR personnel and subcontractors to ensure safe reliable efficient and rider-focused service delivery.
- Respond to and manage significant service disruptions emergencies and other critical operational events.
- Maintain regular communication with clients Project Manager regarding contract performance operational issues service quality and other matters affecting the delivery of service.
- Attend meetings presentations and other events as requested by client.
- Be available during normal business hours and remain reachable outside normal business hours for emergencies through client-approved communication methods.
- Ensure client is provided with current contact information for the Project Manager and the designated individual authorized to act in the Project Managers absence and promptly notify client of any changes.
Talent Requirements:
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience in public transportation operations or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of management experience overseeing ADA complementary paratransit service of similar size and complexity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ADA complementary paratransit requirements applicable FTA regulations and the management of demand-response transportation services.
- Strong leadership organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Possess a Certified Community Transit Manager (CCTM) certification issued by the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) and have successfully completed the Transit and Paratransit Management Certificate Program or an equivalent professional certifications and training acceptable to the client.
- College degree or equivalent business management experience.
- Must have labor/union(s) negations/expenses expertise.
- Must have a full understanding of dispatch scheduling driver recruitment and safety DOT and FTA compliance.
- MS Office strong analytical skills strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills.
- Additional duties/responsibilitiesbased upon individual contract requirements.
Starting salary range: $115610-$156413
