Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager III with nuclear industry experience to lead and manage complex projects for Southern Company Nuclear. This senior-level role will provide strategic direction project leadership stakeholder management and mentorship to multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning scheduling budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Define and manage project scope objectives milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineering construction operations and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project risk-management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress schedule budget risks and performance.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide executive-level status reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure projects align with organizational objectives.
  • Apply advanced project management methodologies and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Lead and mentor project teams while promoting project-management best practices.
  • Identify and resolve project issues risks and resource constraints.
Required Qualifications
  • 1015 years of project management experience including experience managing complex projects.
  • Nuclear industry/project experience required.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Project Management Business or related field.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning scheduling budgeting risk management and project controls.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong executive communication leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex and highly regulated project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting nuclear power generation projects.
  • Advanced project management certifications or specialized nuclear project experience.
  • Experience managing projects involving engineering construction outages plant modifications or capital improvements.
