Job Summary
Must Haves
- 5 to 10 years of construction experience including several years in a Project Manager or similar role.
- Heavy civil geotechnical foundation or specialty construction experience.
- Experience managing deep foundations earth retention drilling shoring or ground improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of estimating budgeting forecasting and project cost control.
- Experience managing project schedules change orders subcontractor costs and material expenditures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting schedule quality budget and safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with superintendents field crews clients subcontractors and engineers.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Nice to Haves
- Design-build experience involving shoring foundations or specialty geotechnical construction.
- Experience working in union construction environments.
- Experience coordinating skilled craft labor.
- Experience with both public and private sector projects.
- Experience managing tight-access urban or technically complex jobsites.
Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through execution and closeout.
- Prepare and review estimates proposals bids and scopes of work.
- Develop and manage project budgets schedules forecasts and cost reports.
- Coordinate daily project activities with superintendents and field teams.
- Oversee subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor project performance against budget schedule quality and safety requirements.
- Manage change orders subcontractor costs material costs and other project expenditures.
- Identify project risks and resolve issues involving site conditions design changes scheduling and field operations.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineers and internal teams on design-build projects.
- Review contracts drawings specifications and project requirements.
- Lead internal project meetings and client-facing project discussions.
- Support jobsite safety and work with field and safety teams to address risks.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution and share lessons learned across project teams.
