Project Engineering Manager Grayson Kentucky
Our client a food manufacturing operation based in Grayson Kentucky is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead capital and facility improvement projects across the plant. This is a site-level leadership role with direct impact on operational efficiency safety and long-term infrastructure. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Plan manage and execute capital improvement and facility projects from concept through completion
- Coordinate with operations maintenance and quality teams to align project scope with production requirements
- Develop project budgets timelines and resource plans; track progress and report to plant leadership
- Manage relationships with contractors equipment vendors and engineering firms
- Ensure all projects comply with food safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies
- Lead root cause analysis and implement engineering solutions to address recurring operational or equipment issues
- Support capacity expansion line upgrades and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor and develop project engineering staff where applicable
Qualifications
- Background in food manufacturing is required
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of project management principles including budgeting scheduling and contractor oversight
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP environments
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Chemical Industrial or related Engineering discipline preferred
- Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- PMP certification or equivalent experience is a plus
